Selecting a Printer

You should select the printer that you will print this layout or report on, before you start to format your layout or report. This is because specific printers have their own built-in font capabilities and preset paper margins.

As soon as you select a printer, the Report Designer looks to see what fonts are available and sets the non-printable margins. The paper size will also be automatically set for you from the default size that was set up for the printer when you installed the printer into Windows.
